The event is organised by Frauscher Sensor Technology.
Who can attend the Wheel Detection Forum 2017?
The conference can be attended by international railway operators and system integrators, as well as manufacturers, consultants, researchers and association representatives.
Where can I look up other participants?
You will get a list with all the participants when the conference starts. There also will be a conference app where you can look up all the participants.
Registration and accomodation
How can I register?
You can only register via the online registration tool.
How long is the registration open?
The registration is open until 20 September 2017.
What are the registration fees?
The registration fee is 370 € (incl. VAT). This includes documents, catering and networking events.
Is there a discounted registration fee for students?
There is no student discount on the registration fee.
Can I book one day or one panel only?
You can only book the complete conference with full registration fee. Of course you are free to choose how much time you want to spend at the conference.
Will I get a printed ticket?
You will receive a PDF ticket after you have completed your registration. You can print it out or use it as a mobile ticket.
What are the registration deadlines and cancellation policies?
In case of a cancellation until 20 September 2017 you will receive a full refund of your registration fee. After that date or in default of appearance, the full registration fee will be due.
How do I book my accommodation?
You have to book your accomodation directly at the hotel of your choice. Recommendations can be found online.
Schedule and programme
When does the conference start?
The conference starts on Wednesday, 4 October at 15:00 with registration at the venue.
When will the conference end?
The conference ends at Friday, 6 October at 12:00. There will be a networking lunch from 12:00 to 14:00.
Will there be discussions after each presentation?
There will be five minutes for discussions after each presentation and also ten minutes after each panel.
What do you recommend if I stay in Vienna for the weekend?
The hotel staff will gladly assist you in arranging an individual weekend programme in Vienna. Some recommendations: Stephansdom, Ringstraße, Hofburg, Rathaus, Prater, Technisches Museum. You can also simply take a hop on/hop off bus tour through the city.
Will there be photos taken during the conference?
Yes, we will take photos and videos during the conference. Please also have a look at our site notice (Consent to use, publish and distribute footage).
